To thoroughly study, publicize and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully carry forward the spirits laid down at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and implement relevant work documents issued by the Ministry of Education concerning winter vacation arrangements, we will take social practice as an important vehicle to strengthen and improve college students’ ideological and political education. This activity is designed to display the youthful spirit of the new era and foster students’ sense of responsibility and mission. After deliberation by the School Youth League Committee, combined with the actual operation of our university and school, we decide to organize the 2024 winter vacation social practice for all students of the school. Relevant arrangements are notified as follows.

All students of XJTU-POLIMI Joint School of Design and Innovation
Ⅱ. Practice Contents
1. Enrollment Promotion Activities: Publicize the school’s teaching characteristics and competition support policies (requires registration, selection and training).
2. Overseas Exchange Practice: Conduct comparative research on Chinese and Western culture and teaching modes combined with winter overseas programs.
3. Themed Social Practice: Participate in Party history learning, theoretical publicity, rural revitalization, ecological protection, volunteer tutoring and other public welfare practice projects.

Practice records, research papers, investigation reports and project case studies.
Ⅳ. Schedule Arrangement
1. Registration and Review Stage (January 2024)
Students may form teams freely and complete registration via the official platform: [https://shijian.tiaozhan.com](https://link.wtturl.cn/?target=https%3A%2F%2Fshijian.tiaozhan.com&scene=im&aid=497858&lang=zh). Campus network is required to log in the website. The registration deadline falls on January 12.
2. Practice Implementation & Report Compilation Stage (January – February 2024)
All teams shall carry out their planned projects during winter vacation and form standardized research outputs. Each team must preserve activity plans, photos, video clips and other supporting materials, and finish the full practice report before the new semester begins.
3. Review and Commendation Stage (March 2024)
All participants shall submit practice reports of no less than 10,000 words to xjtu\_jsdi@163.com by February 25. The email subject should be written in the format of "Student ID + Practice Theme", and the report shall combine text with pictures. The school will conduct acceptance, evaluation and commendation for all submitted projects, and recommend outstanding ones to the university for school-level awards.
Ⅴ. Relevant Requirements
1. Students may carry out social practice either individually or in teams across different regions. All activities shall be arranged in light of local conditions, timing, participants and practical demands. Multiple forms such as volunteer service, free tutoring, social survey, internship and entrepreneurial practice are encouraged to pursue real effects, and formalism is strictly prohibited.
2. Each student shall obtain 2 social practice credits throughout undergraduate studies. Students who pass the winter practice assessment will get 1 credit, while those rated as Excellent will be awarded 2 credits.
3. Students shall attach importance to publicity work, actively submit articles to news media to expand influence, and carefully collect and sort all survey materials.
4. All participants shall raise safety awareness and take self-protective measures during practice. Seek medical treatment at once if feeling unwell. Participants shall pay close attention to traffic safety, personal and property safety, as well as safety in communication with external personnel.
