Yu Zhichun, Ph.D., Professor
Profile
Under the mentorship of Academician Liu Jiaping, Dr. Yu Zhichun has long been engaged in research on vernacular dwellings, residential buildings, regional architecture, and green buildings. He focuses on the rural human settlements in Northwest China, particularly the dwellings and village environments in the Guanzhong region of Shaanxi Province, where he has achieved fruitful results. He has published one monograph, over 50 academic papers, and presided over two national research projects, two provincial and ministerial-level projects, as well as multiple lateral projects. The projects he led have won two provincial-level Excellent Urban and Rural Planning and Design Awards, and he has guided students to win more than 10 awards at various levels in domestic and international architectural design competitions.
Academic Positions
Member of the 9th Committee, Professional Committee of Building Energy Efficiency and Green Building, Shaanxi Civil Engineering and Architecture Society, from 2019 to 2023.
Member of the Traditional Architecture Committee, Traditional Architecture Branch, China Exploration and Design Association, from July 2020 to July 2024.
