The Architectural Model Laboratory serves as a dedicated space for experimental teaching in architectural model-making and other related majors. Here, students acquire and practice skills in crafting various models, including but not limited to product prototypes, architectural and environmental art models, public art sculptural models, and packaging mockups. Furthermore, the laboratory provides students with opportunities to create design project models, enabling them to consolidate theoretical knowledge and enhance practical competencies through hands-on execution.
The Model Laboratory is equipped with a comprehensive array of professional model-making tools and equipment, including but not limited to bench drill presses, circular saws, bench-type dual-speed scroll saws, mini scroll saws, hot-wire cutters, sanding machines, belt sanders, bench sanders, laser cutters, and 3D printers.These facilities are capable of accommodating diverse model-making requirements, ensuring students can successfully complete their experimental projects.
