Sergio Terzi(male) is Full Professor at Politecnico di Milano, Department of Economics, Management, and Industrial Engineering, where he is teaching Industrial Technologies, Design and Management of Production Systems and Product Lifecycle Management. B.Sc in Industrial Engineering in 1999, M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration in 2001, PhD in Management Engineering 2005 (with one of the first European PhD thesis on the subject Product Lifecycle Management.
His main research interests are about lifecycle management, modelling, optimization and assessment. He is author of 5 books and more than 200 papers at national and international level in the main field of lifecycle management. He is member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal on Product Lifecycle Management. He is Board Member of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) Working Group 5.1 (Global Product Development for the Whole Lifecycle), as well as member of the IFIP Working Group 5.7 (Advanced in Production Management Systems), and member of the IEEE Technology Management Society (TMS).
He is the co-founder fo Miraitek, a spin-off company of Politecnico di Milano, active in the field of smart manufacturing. He is also service as Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Management of Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI-GSoM) as well as Delegate to International Relationships for the Department of Economics, Management, and Industrial Engineering.
