Fabio E.G. Cipriani ha conseguito la laurea in Fisica Teorica presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano nel 1986 ed il PhD in Fisica Matematica nel 1992 presso l’International School of Advanced Studies di Trieste. Successivamente è stato visitatore presso la Cornell University N.Y. (1993) e ricercatore presso la Bochum Universitat Germany (1994-95) e la University of Nottingham U.K. (1995-96). Dal 1996 è stato Ricercatore presso il Dipartimento di Matematica del Politecnico di Milano dove ha poi occupato le posizioni di Professore Associato dal 2002 e Professore Ordinario dal 2016. I suoi interessi scientifici riguardano la Teoria del Potenziale ed in particolare le forme di energia nell’ambito e con applicazioni alla Geometria Noncommutativa o Quantistica, alla geometria degli spazi frattali e all’approccio all’equilibrio in Termodinamica Quantistica. In queste materie è stato organizzatore di diverse conferenze internazionali e delle Lezioni Leonardesche di Milano. Attualmente è membro del LaboratorioYpazia per le Scienze Matematiche (LYSM) creato in convenzione tra il Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) Francia e l’Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica (INdAM) Italia.
Fabio E.G. Cipriani obtained a degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Milano Italy in 1986 and a PhD in Mathematical Physics in 1992 from the International School of Advanced Studies in Trieste. Subsequently he was visitor at Cornell University N.Y. (1993) and researcher at Bochum Universitat Germany (1994-95) and at the University of Nottingham U.K. (1995-96). Since 1996, he has been a Researcher at the Department of Mathematics of the Politecnico of Milano Italy, where he then occupied the positions of Associate Professor since 2002 and Full Professor since 2016. His scientific interests concern Potential Theory and, in particular, Energy Forms with applications to Noncommutative or Quantum Geometry, to the geometry of fractal spaces and to the approach to equilibrium in Quantum Thermodynamics. About these subjects, he was the organizer of several international conferences and of the“Lezioni Leonardesche”in Milano. He is currently a member of the YPAZIA Laboratory for Mathematical Sciences (LYSM) created in agreement between the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) France andIstituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica (INdAM) Italia.
