Pietro Piazzolla, PhD, is currently professor of Mechanical Drawings at the Politecnico of Milan, Department of Mechanics, and of Assistive and Wereable Devices for Inclusivity at the same Institution. His main research interests concern 3D Modeling, Computer Graphics and Computer Vision for the creation of Augmented and Virtual Reality solutions to be used in various areas such as supporting the teaching of complicated or dangerous tasks, human modeling, product manufacturing, laparoscopic robotic surgery, and more generally to human-machine interaction.
This experience is attested by his scientific production, patents, his participation in international conferences as invited speaker, and by his educational activity in several Mechanical Drawings, CAD, Computer Graphics, Human Modeling, Computer Science teachings for the courses in mechanical engineering, management, bioengineering of the Politecnico of Milan and Turin.
